- Do I need previous dance experience?
No previous dance experience is needed. Just like any other sport, you have
to practice to become good at what you do. The more you practice, the faster you
will progress!
You have to be at least 18yrs or older to participate in lessons and parties.
Women of all ages, young and old, can learn to stay fit and be confident through
pole dancing!
Nudity is NEVER involved during any lessons, parties, or shows!!
Yes, there is a 200lb weight limit for the poles.
- Are men allowed at lessons or parties?
Men are NOT allowed to attend private lessons
or parties. I DO offer private lessons for men looking to seriously learn pole dancing.
- What should I wear?
The more skin showing, the better! (Especially on your arms
and legs.) Form fitting clothes are best to wear for a pole dancing workout. Tank
tops, camisoles, sports bras, boy shorts, biker shorts, and short cotton workout
shorts are recommended. You may want to wear heels, which is fine but not a requirement.
Tennis shoes, dance shoes, and bare feet are fine too!
- What should I NOT wear?
Do not use baby oil, suntan lotion, or lotions containing
oils. Do not wear jewelry on your neck, fingers, wrists, ankles, or toes. Stay
away from baggy clothing.
- How much are lessons/parties?
Please refer to the About page for more info.
- Are there risks?
As with any other sport, there are risks always involved and pole dancing
is no different. These are some of the most common.
- Bruises: Especially for beginners this is one of the most common risks. The pole
is a rigid object and body parts will bump the pole causing bruises. As your body
gets used to the moves and you become more aware of what you are doing, you will
stop bruising yourself.
- Pole Burn (chaffing): This too concerns most beginners. Pole Burn can be caused by
the friction of your skin on the pole. This usually happens between the thighs, as
you progress your skin will ‘toughen’ up and it will no longer be a problem.
Every effort is made to make your lessons and parties as safe and as
fun as possible. However, you are also responsible for your own safety,
so listen carefully to all instructions and listen to your own body.
- What types of muscle groups are worked?
Pole dancing will work a lot of different muscles at the same time! It is
a full body workout!!
